DAPECOL PRISON
Matt and I went to DAPECOL Prison last week with Sandra (our base leader) and Monette. Sandra and Monette have been going into that prison since last year. DAPECOL is about an hour and a half away from Davao City (where we're at). It is one of the largest prisons in the Philippines which has about 4,000 inmates divided into three groups depending on the amount of security needed for them. They are the minimum, medium and maximum security prisoners. And in this case we ministered to 400 medium amd maximum prisoners who are being discipled through Pastor Manny and a number of cell group leaders who were raised up in the prison as well. It is such a blessing to see so much fruit. In this event, the church inside the prison were having their 15th year anniversary...
Matt and I at DAPECOL...
Matt and I with Nanay (means mother) as they fondly call her as she is the founder of the ministry in DAPECOL Prison. She travels over an hour and a half at least every week to visit the prisoners. She is an inspiration to all. And after 15 years, she still has that smile.. she carries such joy! She truly is a blessing!
