Bethel Team Testimonies from Pastor Miguel Que

We had miracles happening inside our churches and in crusades before, but the distinct Bethel influence I think are the unplanned spontaneous healing adventures some of our people are doing on their own, in schools, workplace and in the streets. Here are some of the testimonies:

One of the youth, full of insecurities, coming from a broken family, recently got a total stranger, lame - healed and walking!

An elderly woman was one month bedfast. Since she has no money for doctors, she planned to consult the local medicine man. One of our sister in Christ visited her. After prayer, the elderly woman got healed and out of her bed. Jesus got the glory!

One of our youth saw a man with walking difficulty due to an accident. So he approached the man, introduce himself and offered prayer. The man experienced God’s healing power and confessed he used to be an active Christian that had backslidden. He was so thankful for God’s trying to reach out for him.

Michael, a bible student, testified recently of God using him to heal complete strangers of Parkinson’s disease, cancer and a crippled old lady walking.

An Islamic woman got healed during the Sunday a Bethel team ministered at a church she visited. Now she enrolled our bible school and had never missed a class. She said, “I’ve been faithfully as a worshipper in Islam before. Doing all those ritualistic bowing and praying, but I’ve never experienced the miracles & love I’m now experiencing as a Christian. I’m now so crazy in love with Jesus.”

Roselyn admitted that she is not into drawings. But after the Bethel team’s visit, she became a “prophetic-arts machine”. She keeps drawing and giving people their prophetic arts, and found them very amazed at the accuracy. One time, God gave her a picture to draw then told her to go inside a particular bookstore. Once inside the bookstore, she was directed to give her picture to a certain woman (a stranger) sited on chair. When the woman saw the picture she began to sob inside. She said, whenever she’s down she goes to that bookstore to read something inspirational. That day she told God to please send some to the store to encourage her. Roselyn further said, God is saying you are like the woman in the Bible who got caught in adultery. Everyone wants to stone her but not Jesus. The woman cried all the more, she said she has done many plays in church, but her favorite role was when she portrayed the woman caught in adultery. It has the greatest impact on her as she understood God’s love.

Two of our partner churches (Antipolo and Navotas) got into Treasure Hunting for the first time this week.

Months before one of the Bethel team arrived at Hosea Church (March 7), three of their church members has already had open visions about them coming. Some saw the team as far as Dec 2009. One lady even wrote down the description of the team, their appearance and how they dress; it was really accurate. They believe the reason why they had these post-arrival vision was God was encouraging them to really open their hearts to the team; because the team will bring a great impact on their church, even long after the meeting has end.

A Year of Birthing!

New Year! I sense a year of birthing! A year of birthing out visions, dreams & desires. It comes with a price and a prize!

I love this -- "If you can dream it, you can have it. And after you dream, let that long arm of reality reach out and pull that dream into today. And along with my actions, I await the secret of my success: Timing." Ever since I was a kid I have always dreamed. I love to imagine and dream! Those dreams and imaginations have taken me to places, allowed me to see beyond what the natural eyes can see. I treasure that. I treasure the things which are unseen because I know that they are more real.

I have come to realize more and more that I am a dreamer, an idealist & crazy in love with my Daddy God! Hahaha! Sure I have my moments but they stay that way.. just moments..

I believe that God has a significant purpose for this year like any other year. I see unlimited sources and supernatural encounters. It's going to be an explosion of His presence through love and passion for the things that God burns for... It's going to be BEAUTIFUL! It's not just something that we talk about or hope for... It's here and we're ready!

Acts 13:36 - David served God's purpose in his generation, then he died..

Making a living is not the same thing as making a life. What we've done for ourselves dies with us. But what we've done for others remains. We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give.

AYM Worship Team - The Weekend Tour

Me and the rest of the AYM Worship Team went on a weekend tour last November 21st - 23rd. We played at three different churches.. We went to Vallejo on our first night, Citrus Heights on the second night & Napa Valley for Sunday Morning.

We had a blast! It was such a great experience for me. Aside from leading worship during those three days I was able to prophesy at one church and release God's goodness and love! God is soo awesome!

Of course Matt was there the whole time too. He was such a great support and encouragement! I love you soo much! Right now he is editing the video from the trip.

This has become one of the important issues this year. I personally am not able to vote yet because I am not a citizen of the United States yet. But I know I have a voice and I will speak the Truth and pray for this nation. I know I am here for such a time as this.

When Lou Engle spoke the last two nights, there was a deep cry inside of me and I cried. And then he said this --- "Pay close attention to you tears because they point to what moves you and they point to your destiny." I will never forget those words. I cried not because I was sad but because I am thankful that I get to be a part of what God is doing in this nation. I get to witness God move in behalf His people.

Outpouring Youth & Young Adults Pastors Conference

Matt & I had the opportunity to be a part of the conference this week. Tomorrow morning is our last session. God is soo good!

We got in for free which would normally cost us $90 each. We also got front row reserved seats! Hahaha! It gets better coz we were also able to hang out at Kris Valloton's house (For those of you who don't know, Kris is the Associate Pastor/Leader at Bethel Church) with Lou Engle and everybody who was in the conference. We played volleyball and had a barbeque with yummy desserts! On top of that, I was able to meet Lou Engle which was awesome. Thank you Jesus!

Anyway, Lou's message was awesome! He showed us two videos which I will post as soon as I find them. He did a pre-call tonight at Bethel that's why I'm still awake doing this. I am determined to find the two videos and post them!

I don't have pictures of Matt and I during the conference though. Matt took some pictures and videos (on his phone) of Lou preaching and that was it.

Well, we had a blast! God is soo good! I am very much in awe of His goodness and favor! He is a good God in a good mood! Hahaha!

Official Bethel Members

Matt and I just recently became one of the newest members of Bethel Church! Our application was officially approved last July 22nd and then we got prayed for by the church and leadership during the sunday service. We will also have a separate day where the church leadership will just pray and prophesy over us and release us into our destinies!

We are so excited to be here and everthing that God's doing in us ad through us. We heard the drum beat and we found our tribe. We are home!

Jesus Culture Summer 2008

Nathan's Birthday

Nathan celebrated his birthday last month and wanted to do a camping trip. So that's what the Baileys (Mike & Jeannette) did and invited us and the Prices (Ben and Heather). All the kids were there too. We had great grilled food and smores! Lovely! And we hiked a trail to a waterfall the next day. It was fun!

P.S. For all of you who don't know, we are all living in Redding, CA right now and going to Bethel Church. It's amazing how God brought us all together! The Bailey's were missionaries in Davao City, Philippines and good friends with our ministry there. The Bailey's did our premartial counseling as well. We met Ben Price in Davao also through Mike's team before him and Heather got married.

Testimony Time

Hi everybody!

Most of you know that we just moved to Redding, CA last April 12th to be a part of Bethel Church. Since then, we have just continually seen God's favor in our lives.

I know we have experienced God's favor upon favor. But it keeps getting better!!

Faith, favor and adventure -- are three words I would describe our married life and our call.

Recently, Matt has just been going after more. One of his testimonies is that one day last week a guy came to our apartment to fix our garage. The Holy Spirit told Matt to pray for him. Now this guy was tough-looking and was joking and cussing. So Matt told God that if his name is Mark then he would pray for him.

Matt then introduced himself and said, "Hi my name is Matt."

The guy then replied, "Hi my name is Mark!"

So to make the long story short, Matt ended up praying for the guy whose Mom is sick and has stomach cancer.

As for me, It was last sunday during morning service here in Bethel when I recieved a word for a woman sitting in front of me. I heard the name "Anne" and the phrase "It's your time."

I went to her and asked her, "Does the name Anne mean anything to you?"

She smiled and said, "Yes! I have four sons and no daughters. Yesterday I was thinking about the name Anne and what a lovely name that would be for a daughter or granddaughter."

So I told myself, "Ok God I'm in the right track! Thanks!"

Then I told her, "God wants you to know that it's your time."

By this time she started crying and told me that she got a prophecy years ago that she would stand before kings and gorvernments but have felt like she was like Joseph spending time in the pit or prison for years now. She had just recently asked God for strength and direction!

She thanked me for being faithful in releasing the word to her and told me that when I mentioned the name Anne it was like a kiss from heaven and that she will find out what the name means.

By the way, the name Anne means the Grace of God. :)

God is soo good!! I love it when I see and experience the love of God and when He gives people a kiss from heaven!!

28TH BIRTHDAY!!

Most of you know I celebrated my 28th birthday last April 5th. Matt and my parents gave me a surprise birthday party on the 3rd! I loved it! A few friends came over and we had fun. It was kinda like our going away get together night as well. It was good to hang out with our friends in Roseburg before our move.

(Matt made me breakfast chocolate chip waffles on the 5th then he took me to Wildlife Safari)

Anyway, we had food, drinks, cake and ice cream! Of course I also had gifts! I love the gifts!

Thank you so much Mom and Dad for having the party at your place and all the food!! You are both amazing!! Words are not enough to express my love and gratitude for everything!! I love you!!

I came across this picture and I absolutely love this! There is just something about this picture that represents a whole new dawn of humanity.. As I have had a vision with an eagle in it I have been drawn to eagle pictures lately.

I see dreams and visions of a new dawn of humanity. I hear voices that have yet to be heard and destinies that have yet to be recognized. I also hear voices that will not be given the chance to be heard and destinies being aborted.

I hear a voice like from Jim Driscoll's vision only something was added -- "Will you help fulfill my destiny?"

MOVING!!

Our move is set! We're gonna be moving down to Redding, CA on April 12th! We already have a place to stay which is just near my work. God is so good and faithful! Matt and I are so excited for this next season in our transition. We're taking it one step at a time as God reveals each step. God has put His favor before us as we take each step of obedience.

There is something about this move that is so significant about our next season! I am soo thankful for where we are and what we have learned. I appreciated this last year of transition from the Philippines to the US. God has taught us a lot of things.

I believe that there is only so much that we can do and learn. Not unless you actually follow God as He leads you to a different place in the natural that will require a natural move which is significant to a different place in the spirit. God sees the bigger picture. I trust that He knows exactly what we need and what needs to be done.

Growth couldn't happen in my life as I become accustomed to where I'm at unless I make an actual move or transition in the natural (like coming to the US from the Philippines). There is alwasy something significant about everytime God leads us to go somewhere. It is like an outward manifestation of what He's requiring from us in the spirit.

God is faithful. I look at my life and I am thankful that I am free.. Free to go when God says go and free to stay when God says stay. And free to do the impossible when God says do it.

I desire to live free and die empty knowing that I have done what I'm supposed to do. Holding nothing back but giving like I would have nothing left knowing that God is faithful to give more and entrust me with more.

JESUS CULTURE 2008

Matt & I went to Redding, CA to attend a youth & young adult conference hosted by Bethel Church. It was AWESOME! We had a great time of worship and ministering time. It is so amazing to see young people on fire & sold out for God! I believe with all my heart that the time is NOW to step out in faith & live out what God has already declared! I see a new breed & a generation that will not let go until God shows up. I can almost feel the tangible anointing spreading out from the four corners of the church & bursting out into the streets! It is time for a GREAT AWAKENING!

Anyway, Matt & I are really excited and looking forward to moving down there this April. We believe that this is the time to move & transition into the next season of out lives. God is soo good and faithful. I know that He has great plans for us.

Our testimony -- The roads and passes were closed the day before our trip (Thursday) because of a snow storm & that it was impossible for us to go. But we prayed & believed for a sunny trip & still planned on going no matter what. I was so determined in my heart & I kept delcaring & thanking God that the sun & the heat will go before us. Matt was even more determined to brave the weather that he said -- "We are going whatever it takes!" We even brought our snow clothes with us in case we were gonna be stuck so we can at least play in the snow! LOL.

Well, it certainly was a SUNNY DAY the whole way & we even had to turn the heat off & wear our sunglasses! YEY GOD!!

PLUS -- The storm came again when we were in Redding during the conference & the roads & passes were closed again! BUT -- we had no problem getting home the next day because the roads & passes were opened again! We didn't even have to put our chains on! How's that for YEY GOD?!!

Psalm 105:17-19

Here is a word for you from the Word.

[God] sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. They afflicted his feet with fetters; he himself was laid in irons, until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him. NAS

The life of Joseph began with great promise. Earlier in his youth, the Lord gave him a dream that showed him that he would be elevated to a position of great authority. He would rule over his brothers. Even his father and mother would come bowing down before him. What happened next? The very opposite of what God had promised. His brothers betrayed him, sold him as a slave into Egypt, and, because he was faithful to his Egyptian master, he eventually ended up in prison. He was in fetters, his soul was in iron.

How did Joseph respond to that situation? Did he say to himself, “Everything’s gone wrong! The Lord’s promise will never come true”? No, I don’t believe that. It says, “Until the time that the promise came, the word of the Lord tested him.” How important it is to see that when the Lord gives us a promise, many times everything that happens next will seem to be the very opposite of what God has promised. It’s so important that at times like that we don’t give up on the promise, we don’t say, “God has forgotten; God has failed.”

You see, that promise that God gave us is testing us. It’s testing our faith and our constancy to see if we’ll hold on in the darkest hour. And when we pass the test, then, like Joseph, the promise will be fulfilled. - Derek Prince

Here is the first & second part of the encouraging word that God spoke to my heart when I was praying one day and it encouraged me a lot. Our future is brighter than what we see and think.. 2008 is the year of new beginnings! A year of birthing of new ministries, new life, new hope & opportunities! New season to look forward to!

"There is a time and a season for everything. God has made everything beautiful in His time. There is nothing too hard or impossible for God. At the appointed time the vision will be birthed. God knows from the beginning to the end. But right now some things are necessary for our growth because some things are not just taught but caught. God is taking you into a process wherein you can believe in your own conversion. We are transformed according to our encounter with Him. He will show you His ways. I believe that God is encouraging us to wait for His Presence, hear His heartbeat and get in line with His best for us. He is realinging and developing our faith because times and seasons change although God remains the same. We must allow our heart to align with His heart so that His presence can lead us into the new thing He has for us. If we obey and hear His voice, He will take us from glory to glory. But we must remember that our time is not the way God gauges time because His time is eternal. He will wait as long as necessary. But as you desire and continue to seek His face, you will be amazed at what you see and how you see your situations because God is faithful and He will move.. immdediately and suddenly! The intensity of seeking Him is how we free the Spirit of God to move!

I am very excited and I am ever looking forward to what's ahead but without neglecting and missing what He is doing in our lives right now!

Do not neglect the prayers that the Holy Spirit has placed in the inside of you. Because great changes will come! Your prayers are very powerful.. your prayers will cause the enemy to not prevail over you. You have the power and authority!

I believe that although 2008 is the year of new beginnings, it is also the year of the birthing of ministries and a new move of the spirit! The dry bones in the valley are about to arise to be the very exceedingly great army! Praise GOD!!

My First Thanksgiving in the US! It was great to be able to spend time with family and enjoy each other that day. Of course the food was great too! One of the best part during the meal was when we all took turns thanking GOD for who He is and where He has taken us through individually and as a family this year. Praise GOD!

This year was a year of Growth for me both spiritually and naturally. It is a blessing for me to be here in the US and to experience first hand the "other side of the world." My view and faith has expanded a lot in a sense that I am so much more open for what we think are the "impossibilities" to be really more of "possibilities" with GOD. That even though I have had experienced and seen a lot of miracles and people being delivered during the whole 8 years since I got saved, I KNOW that I KNOW and BELIEVE and am EXPECTING for MORE! I can sense it in my spirit! I am positioning myself in expectancy and NOT LIMIT GOD! Anything can absolutely happen!

Being married to Matt Coil has been a very very wonderful exprience! That is absolutely one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I know that I have grown so much since I got married and he continues to challenge me in ways that make me grow! I am soo thankful to God for my husband! I have seen him being faithful even for the little things and I think that it has blessed us during this time of transition. He has such a heart for people and a heart to serve even when no one's watching. He is a true spiritual leader and father.

I am blessed with the family I have here too. My in-laws are wonderful people who love GOD!.. and ME! That's something that I cherish soo much! I have always felt that I was actually "born into" the family. There is such a close-knit relationship that goes beyond words. To Dad, Mom, Leah & Ashley.. I thank GOD for all of you!

GVCA & GEN CHURCH.. Thank you for receiving us and allowing us to serve while we are here. I thank GOD for the friendships that we have made in the church.

God is so Good..

I started writing this morning while I was in God's presence and even though I rarely feel led to share what I write, I really feel I need to share this... forgive me if its choppy or hard to follow at all, it is what it is...

Something is happening in Roseburg. In this little, seemingly God forsaken town, hearts are being awakened. The Holy Spirit is alive and well at GVCA and is doing a work within the leadership and the church body. This isn't happening in only GVCA either. It is so obvious and exciting- transformation must start in the church. I truly feel that God's going to use my generation to cause the forest fire. There's been multiple visions and dreams where the Roseburg High School buildings are symbolicly on fire with the students united, together praying all around. Something is happening. He's choosing people as I write, to be leaders of this movement. I definitly feel called to be a part of this severe and radical change in my city, I am meant to be here for this season. How awesome is it that we don't need Bible school to know Jesus and to hear Him speak. I love that He chooses people based on willingness and potential- Esther is one of my favorite examples of this. Sure she went through a training or 'beautification' if you will, but that was all part of her predetermined plan ordained by her Heavenly Father. She simply had to be willing to live and/or die for God's people... she put her life on the line in obedience to the one and only true King..."..if I perish, I perish." (Es. 4:16) What a bold decision! And she made that decision before the time came to take action. Her heart, mind and soul were in complete alignment with God's will and it didn't matter what happened after that. She was going to follow through even if it meant death. And because of her determination, she changed the course of history.We need some Esther's in this time! I am an Esther. Fortunately, we're not at the point of persecution for our faith yet (as a majority) in the United States. We think a huge sacrifice is someone making fun or telling us we're crazy..."Oh the pain and agony we have to endure... the struggle and strife I go through when I speak the name of Jesus"... please... BRING IT ON! If there is anyone stumbling in their faith because someone intimidates you with words, you need to decide before you even leave your house, everyday, that you love Jesus and you will live in continuous worship of who He is and what He's done for you. You have no excuse because the Lord is your strength and your song! (Ex.15:2 & Is.12:2) The Lord's love endures forever! (Ps.136:1) He promises this- our love for Him should be the same!For this hour in our city we need people who are bold and expectant. The King needs kingdom ambassadors. We need to start with the little things, the minor heart transformations like in our attitudes, our offenses and our prejudgements. We need to start with the basics of unconditional love if we want to gain righteousness... once we understand these things, or at least desire to understand these things, our hearts will be changed and our spirits aligned with God's will. He'll show us what He sees and what He wants. His desires will become our desires. Our willingness to fight for the lost will turn into a fight to the death- FOR LIFE! Praise God!!

REDDING

Matt and I travelled to Redding, CA last weekend to visit Bethel Church. On the way, we stopped at a Vista Point viewing Mount Shasta. As you can see, the top part of the mountain has snow on it. It was like this also the last time we drove to Redding in the summer where even though it was like around 90-100 degrees outside, the top part of Mt. Shasta still has snow on it. Now I don't know a lot about it so go figure! :)

Anyway, the service at Bethel was awesome! The last time we were there (four weeks ago), we didn't bring our camera so we didn't get to take a picture of the church. They have three services on Sunday to accommodate the people. Matt and I attended the second service and the picture below is of us at the parking lot (we parked at the farthest - the road wasn't even paved) because the whole parking lot was full for the first service (8:30AM)! This is how the parking lot looked around 1:45pm (way after the second service - the third and last is in the evening). The people standing behind us were praying boldly before we took the picture. It was great!

Here are some pictures from the FILIPINO Picnic.. We had so much fun that day. We had people perform but we didn't get pictures from that. It was such a load atmosphere with kids and parents laughing!

This is something that is traditional to Filipino parties from birthdays, anniversaries to weddings.. Lechon Baboy (Roasted Pig)! I haven't seen one of these in a while. This is half of the original size. The FILIPINOS devoured it! LOL!!

Matt did his hungry pose. Now, the pig is really small now. The middle portion of body is gone! We eat both the meat and skin. Most Filipinos like the skin coz it's crunchy. I personally am not crazy about it although I don't mind eating it. I prefer the meat which I don't really eat much of it either. I just try to stay away from pork.

Here we are.. we decided to include the pig again in this picture since I won't be seeing one of these until Christmas hopefully. Ashley is hiding behind the pig.

This me with Elvie, one of the Filipinos I met. She had wanted a picture together so she had somebody take this with her camera. I didn't see her for a week or so after the picnic and then she suddenly dropped by my work and gave me a copy of the picture! I had wanted one but didn't let her know and was thinking about her then she showed up!

During the course of my wonderful stay in Roseburg and working at Washington Mutual Bank, I have met some Filipinos in the community. And most of them speak Cebuano! That was the exciting part.. I could speak my native language with them!

They had a Filipino picnic scheduled and of course they invited me to come! It was held at Stewart Park (for the people in Roseburg you know where that is) last August 18th. That was on a Saturday.

When Matt and I saw the place full of Filipinos, I had literally felt that I had stepped into another culture and felt that I was in the Philippines again. I was so excited and just so happy to be around the crazy Filipinos that I love! Even though I was new to the group they had welcomed me and Matt (Mom Midge, Ashley and her friend were there too having a great time) like any typical Filipino family would when they have guests. The atmosphere was fun and light. Everybody was just having fun! My eyes went big on the Filipino food that was served! LOL! What can I say?! I am a FILIPINO and proud to be one!

Anyway, we will be having a Filipino Christmas Party on December and I am looking forward to another fun and Filipino FOOD!!! And of course being able to connect with the other Filipinos who are here..

Mom had taken pictures and will post them as soon as we get them from her. Matt and I seem to forget. You'll enjoy them!

Douglas County Fair

Douglas County Fair.. it was a fun tuesday afternoon. Matt and I went to watch Ashley in her gymnastics class. She was great! The place kinda reminded me of what I used to do.. yeaars ago! LOL!! I don't think I can even do a split anymore.. Hmmm.. But I think I can still do a cartwheel and a roundhouse (The memory of my instuctor telling me the proper way to do them and the purpose of doing it the proper way is coming back.. LOL!)..

Anyway, after that we went to the fair with Mom and Ashley.. They had rides but we didn't go to any of them. We were kinda more excited about the animals, the arts and the food! Guess what I had?!!.. I had a BBQ Chicken and Fried Rice! LOL! Yup.. I missed the days when we were at the compound in Davao with Lache's famous dinner.. I'm a Filipino, what can I say?? Chicken and Rice are a part of what I call "meal.."

Family Vacation

Soo much fun!! That's how I would describe it. I was so thrilled to be able to spend time with family. We started our vacation with a trip down Rogue River via Jetboats! We went on the 64 mile thrill ride. The driver did soo many 360-degree spins.. to make sure that everybody in the boats got wet.. yes, including me (even with my wind breaker and all). We stopped by for lunch.. had chicken and lots of food! I don't think I ate a lot.. I think my capacity has been changed permanently with fasting. Thank God.

Then, we headed down to our campsite at Honeyman. We camped there from Saturday and went home on Tuesday. And there we went mountain biking (very nice place and view of the lake and sand dunes), spent time at the beach area & lake, went on the sand dune buggy ride and mini-golf. Now the dune buggy and the mini-golf were a first for me. The dune buggy was awesome! We had sand all over after we were done! It was a great wild ride for me that I would definitely do again!

Fourth of July

My first fourth of July in America! God is so good. I know that He has us here for this season for a reason. There is a reason for this season! (Cool rhyming).. Anyway, we had fun as a family. We had dinner at mom and dad's house with their neighbors Fred and Bonnie (very nice people to hang out with).

Then, we went outside and watched our neighbors' cool sky fireworks! I haven't seen one with my naked eyes in a long time since the day that fireworks and firecrackers were banned by the mayor in the city I live (and love) in the Philippines. So it was a nice experience for me.

Theeeen, we did our own cute version.. Matt is on the background in one of the pictures. You can see how amused he is. I love that guy soo much.. He is such a handsome Man of God! Enjoy the pics!

Hello everyone.. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up on my drive test. I PASSED!! WHOOHOO!! I can now officially DRIVE BY MYSELF! The Driver's Education with UCC (Umpqua Community College) paid off.. The examiner even told me that I was pretty good with my driving and pretty safe too.. not too bad! :)

Anyway, I got my license now.. which looks very identical to my permit. I mean with my picture, smile, hair and an all. I think the only difference is that it now says Driver's License instead of Permit and the color of the shirt that I wore.. I wore black on my permit and I wore brown on my license.

Also, our new cellphones arrived two days ago! Yipppeee!! Now we can text again and communicate with people since we don't have a house phone in our new place.. we thought that getting cellphones would be better..

Well, lots of good things happening.. God is soo good!

NEW SEASON, NEW THINGS!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while but I haven't forgotten my blog! I intend to keep it as my e-scrapbook as my husband Matt would call it.

Anyway, exciting changes has happened in the past few weeks! We finally got our own VEHICLE! It's a 2005 Toyota Matrix... very nice car! It's not a mini-van but it's not just a car. It's like a mixture of both coz it's not really big enough to be a mini-van. We love it! Praise God for His provision.. for all of you who have supported us and prayed for us during this time, we thank you so much! You share with our joy!

We also just moved in to our very own place! It's very convenient because it's like a five-minute walk to my work (which saves us a lot in gas and time) and just about 10 minutes or so away from Mom and Dad. It's a nice place for us.. 2 bedrooms and 1 bath which is just right for us.

We just also got our internet hooked up last week so now I can make updates with my blog and friendster! And probably email some of you guys who have emailed me..

Also, we just ordered our cellphones too and will be in next tuesday or so.. Thank you Mom for your patience and for helping us with it! We appreciate you a lot! Also for Leah for helping me with my phone choices.. Family is great!

I will be taking my driver's test on Monday! Yup.. that would be another news in the blog!

God is soo good! He is faithful to His word.. I am very thankful for every little and big thing that God has blessed us with! From the new place, the new vehicle down to our new cellphones! It doesn't matter what it is.. I THANK AND PRAISE GOD!!

House GIFTS!!

Most of you don't know this too --- Matt and I are going to be moving in to our own apartment next month! We do not have a definite date yet but we'll keep you posted. We'll take pictures of our new place.

Last sunday, we opened gifts that we got from Mom and Dad Coil for our new place. It was such a fun night and we were soo blessed!! They got us some appliances, etc... and RED pots and pans which I absolutely love!! What can I say?? I love RED!! (not the flashy red though.. i love the apple red or a strong type of red)..

We're all excited for this new season and where God is taking us! We know that there is MORE and MORE!!

Driver's Education

Most of you probably don't know (or know) that I'm taking Driver's Ed class. I took this class because I'm determined to pass my driving test and lower my insurance aside from being able to be a safe driver. I am with a bunch of teenagers (and I say that with utmost endearment) which I absolutely enjoy! I almost feel like I'm back in high school again! Not just because of the whole classroom atmosphere but because we do have a midterm, a final and a final presentation! I aced my midterm exam and I got full points with my final presentation! Whoohoo!! I figured I still got it to be an A student!! LOL!! We're going to take our final test tomorrow. The instructor said that the final test is easier than the midterm so we should not have a problem.

In the bottom, is a picture of me in the Driver's Ed car. I drove through the freeway during this particular drive and I loved it!! I was driving 65 miles per hour! Whooohooo!! For my American friends, you know what I mean.. you can explain it to my Filipino friends out there..

I had my birthday last April 5th.. I turned 27 years old! WOW, can you believe that? Time flies by but I don't feel a day older.. just years wiser! LOL!!

God has been GOOD and will always be! I am in a season of my life right now where I can look back and SEE the hand of God in my life. Had it not been for Him, my life would be different and without a purpose. My DESTINY is to fulfill the will of God in my life. My DESTINY is to KNOW HIM intimately!

Anyway, I got some cool gifts from Mom and Dad Coil! I got new shirts and a pair of cool looking jeans! Thank you Lord! LOL!! I also got some cool stuff from my one and only gugma husband! I also got a card and a gift card for COLD STONE from my dear friend AMY!! I felt so special that day!

Leah Schlesinger took me out to lunch and I had dinner with my family (Matt, Dad and Mom) at Red Robin where the crew sang a HAPYY BIRTHDAY song and I got a free burger meal and dessert! Not to mention the Red Robin balloons I got! LOL!! Thank you so much Mom and Dad for taking me out to dinner on my birthday.. that was really special! I also got a cool card from Leah & Ashley Coil! That was a good one Leah.. Thank you so much! I also appreciate your gift.. thank you!

Overall, it was such a BLESSED day for me! God is soo good and faithful!! I don't have pictures from that day though. I only got a chance to take pictures of the CAKE that Rachelle and Sarah Weinberg made me! Thank you so much ladies! That was really sweet of you!

Matt and I preached last sunday morning at Garden Valley Christian Assembly. It went great. God had a word for the church. God is so good. He amazes me all the time.. It humbles me to think and brings tears to my eyes as I stand in awe how much God loves and values His people. I can't even stop saying that He is good! He is awesome!

CHANGE… this word keeps coming back to me. A CHANGE is coming! It shall SPRING FORTH! There will be a river of revival & transformation – a different move of the Holy Spirit. It is important that we take heed to what the Holy Spirit is saying and not get left behind with what God is about to do. The time is NOW! This is the KAIROS** time of the Lord!! The time of birthing out the vision has come… like a woman in labor & about to give birth… Nothing & No one can stop it!

I see that many will reject it because it is new and different. But those who will embrace the move of the Holy Spirit will experience the Hand of God move in their lives, their family, ministry or work place… a significant change will come!

I see people rise up! They will be the nameless & faceless generation who have sought after the heart of God. They have been hidden but they will arise and many will wonder where they came from. And I see that they are people of different ages and backgrounds. They are the Lord’s prized possessions, yes even the kids! But they will be trained & equipped and will move in the power of God because they have humbled themselves & made themselves available to God.

For those who have been longing and thirsting for My move… do not be weary in waiting for I shall come and show Myself strong in your behalf… You shall see and hear what Isaiah 64:4 is saying, “For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him… and 1 Corinthians 2:9 – 10, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”

Do not be afraid! Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand…” Again… Do not remember the former things… Behold I will do a new thing… It shall SPRING forth… Shall you not know it? I will even make a way (road) in the wilderness and rivers in the desert…

This month is significant… MARCH ON!! God is saying, “Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare (or DO NOT LIMIT GOD!!!); Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited… and most importantly… Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed… Isaiah 54:2-4a… for some of you have been put so shame by circumstances in your lives… but what God has planned to do through you, no man can stop it!!!

This month will be a starting point to MARCH ON to the next season and SPRING FORTH towards the next level!! To God be the Glory!

Hiking

Matt & I went hiking with Jamie, Rachelle and some of the young adults. We went to a waterfall. It was really nice and we had fun!

But this time, I didn't get bitten by any dog! LOL!! And the trail wasn't as physical as my other whole day waterfall hike back in Davao where I got bitten by a dog twice and I had to get 1 anti-tetanus shot and 5 anti-rabies shots! Whew, what an experience! Something that I wouldn't trade for! LOL!!

Gun Shooting!

Dad, Matt and I went out shooting three weeks ago. I wasn't able to put the pictures right away. For some reason I thought I had so that's why there was a delay. Anyway, we had fun! I was able to shoot my first bullseye! The disctance was about 56 of Matt's paces. So it was pretty far.

San Francisco!!

Matt & I visited Pastor Joshua's church (ECC San Francisco) after our visit to Los Angeles. We had a great time in the service & we shared what we have been doing in the Philippines. It was also a wonderful opportunity for us to spend time with Pastor Joshua & his wife. They really took care of us as we stayed in a very nice hotel with the view of the bay! God is so good! I also met some Filipinos in their church & one lady from Dumaguete! I met some Cebuanos there also and so I was able to speak my own language! Hahaha..

We didn't get to have pictures taken with them though but we took some pictures on our way out.

I met Pastor Carol & Pastor Roberts for the first time last month. It was great! I really enjoyed talking with them. I have a picture with Pastor Carol but didn't get to have one with Pastor Roberts. I guess I have to go back and visit! Hehehe.. Matt and I had a wonderful time having lunch with the Liardon family. They're such wonderful people. It's was just a great experience for me to see where my roots are! God is good!

Matt and I stayed with Leah & Ashley for almost two weeks during our LA trip. We had so much fun just spending time with them and doing things together. I have to say that Leah is my one and only coolest sister-in-law! And of course Ashley is my one and only "shaka" niece (in surfers' term it means "awesome")!

Thank you so much Leah & Ashley for having us and for all the fun times we had during those weeks. Thank you also for helping us out during our California Reception. You guys rock! We appreciate and love you both so much!

Disneyland

My first visit! It was such a memorable day for me and Matt. Our good friend Autumn flew down from Texas to give us a surprise visit at Disneyland! I loved it! It was such a wonderful reunion for all of us as we also got to spend the whole day with our other good friends (brother and sister) Chris and Joy! The whole gang! Can you believe that?! Now can you imagine the fun we had as a group?! LOL!! Chris and Joy's parents as well as their grandpa from their mom's side were there also. It was such a treat for all of us to be there. A dream come true for the crazy bunch! God is soo good!

Missions Connexion

Matt and I with mom went to Portland last January for a missions conference. The theme for the event was "Impacting Nations." There were a series of workshops for different areas in missions. We also had main services where we gather in the main auditorium.

It was a great trip and we enjoyed the conference a lot. There is soo much to learn! I was just absorbing like a sponge during the workshops. The most interesting subject for me was "Business in Missions."

Business is a ministry. Managers and businessmen are ministers in their field. Business can be used to support a ministry! Anyway, there are a lot more to be said on that but I will just stop there! Hahaha. God is good!

Down to LA!

Hi! Matt and I will be heading down to Los Angeles tomorrow! Yey! It's gonna be a long drive (13 hours) but it's gonna be fun! I have been in the US fr six weeks and been to three states! Not bad! LOL!! We went to Redding, CA last weekend to attend healing services at Bethel Church. It was awesome! It's soo wonderful to see the power of God move in different ways and in different parts of the world! God is good!

Anyway, we will be doing a reception at Torrance for family and supporters. This is my opportunity to meet them and share videos of our Davao wedding. The event will be on February 17th.. on our 1st anniversary! Yey! Can you believe it has already been a year?? Wow, time flies by soo fast indeed!.. Immediately and suddenly! I do believe that what's happening in the natural is a manifestation on what's happening in the spirit realm! Quick work, quick work.. immediately and suddenly.. KAIROS.. The door is open! We must enter in.. we have a responsibility..! Do not be left behind..

Well, we will post some pictures of our trip for sure. Matt and I will be hanging out with Chris and the gang at Disneyland! Soo.. pictures will surely be taken!

Matt and I drove up to Olympia, Washington State last Wednesday (Jan 18th) to help one of our friends (Ernie and his family) move up there. It was also exciting for me as this is my second state to be in the US! It was such a blessing also to be able to spend time with Ernie and his family. They're such wonderful people.

We then drove to the Capitol of Olympia before we left for Roseburg. I'm glad we did coz we got to tour the capitol and see what was inside of the Legislative building. Here are some pictures..

Matt and I in one of the statues.. There were two statues there that were donated to the Capitol. Interestingly though, they were both statues of missionaries to the US. This statue which is the smallest one is a statue of a missionary nun who helped build a lot of hospitals. She was also an engineer by profession.

This is me playing the piano in the Reception room where they sometimes hold special government meetings. No I didn't have a praise and worship service! LOL! The tour guide asked us who played the piano and so I took the opportunity! Hahaha. I wasn't playing around either.. I actually played chopsticks! At least I know that it was called chopsticks. Matt was even surprised that I knew how to play! He said I did really good. Now for those of you who know me, I do not play the keyboard and I don't know how.. this was a very rare occasion! I learned this when I was 18.

Another Snowman picture

Yup another snowman. But this is not your regular, typical snowman! It snowed again last week and this time it was during the day and we had bigger flakes! It was sooo pretty! But one of the highlights of that day was a snowman that Matt made. He is sooo creative! I love that about him.

So this snowman is sitting on a chair in front of the porch. Matt wanted it to be more realistic so he decided to add a more realistic beard and hair. He used spray paint for those and a piece of carrot for the nose! Hahaha. That was great! We had fun that day too.

Snow Day!

It snowed here in Roseburg last Wednesday night! We were coming out from a church service and there it was --- SNOW! It was lovely! I looked like a little kid! I think the friends I've made in the church were more excited for me. I got to throw the first snow ball at Matt that night too! It was just plain fun. God is so good! He cares about the little stuff that makes you smile.

It was snowing the next day also so all of us - Matt and I with Mom and Dad (Coil) went out for a drive and played with the snow. It was so pretty outside and the way the grass was covered with the snow. And the snow was just perfect - it wasn't too deep at all. Just enough to make a big snow ball by yourself.

We went to a neighbor's yard and built her a snow man with little snow dogs for her birthday. It was great! And then went to a local park near our place where Matt and mom built a big snow ball! It might look like it's pretty easy to make, but it took energy and a little bit of strategy to make it look like a ball instead of a dysfunctional square. But they did it!

Oh we had fun that day and we just took advantage of the snow too. It was a special treat for us.. God is sooo good!

Hello everyone! Oh it's such a blessing to be able to spend time with family. And this year was so special for me and matt as well as his parents as we were able to spend Christmas in the US! There are not enough words to describe the joy that we all felt. God has been so good to us this year and more so for the next year! He will always be good and faithful. Matt and I are expecting a lot of great things to happen in 2007. It has always been a declaration for us as we enter into the next season of our lives.

Matt and I arrived in Portland, Oregon on December 24th. We flew from Manila to Tokyo for 3 hours, had a 2-hour layover and then flew from Tokyo to Portland for 8 hours. The plane ride wasn't that bad although that was my first long flight overseas. Mom picked us up at the airport and we drove for 3 hours to Roseburg.

It is such a blessing to be able to spend Christmas with family and now also New Year's! It was really a special time for us and for Matt's parents as well. God is so good! I know I keep saying that but that is really who God is regardless of the circumstances around.

Everything with my immigrant visa worked out in God's appointed time. I told Matt that it was a sweet victory for us because it was all in God's time. It was not my time nor Matt's time but it was KAIROS - God's appointed time! In every test comes a testimony! And in everything, He gets all the glory as all glory and honor really belongs to Him alone.

That's why as you spend time with your family and friends know this --- JESUS is the reason for this season! Don't forget to thank Him for all that He is and will be in your life. Don't focus too much on what you have or don't have, what the other person say or did not say or if you were offended by someone. Know what matters to you most, know that there is a bigger picture and Jesus is the superstar.

Anyway, we haven't put any pictures yet but there will be some soon! We pray that you enjoy your time with family and friends - people who are important to you!

Hey everybody! Before we leave for the US tomorrow, we just want to share some of the pictures we took during our Manila trip. Matt and I went to Rizal Park and hanged out at Manila Bay. It was great! It was fun for me to actually be on the spot where our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was killed and some other martyrs of our country during the Spanish time. I taught an overview of Philippine History in Spirit Life Bible College and have ever more realized and appreciated the heroism of our patriots.

Even though Manila is a very very busy city, it lies here some historical events. Also, Matt and I were able to spend some time with King Louie..

Flying to the US!

Whoohoo! I got my immigrant visa last friday. I picked it up at the US Embassy in Manila at 9:30am and then headed to a counseling at 10am that I had to attend as a requirement for me to be able to go out of the country.

Sooooo, Matt and I are flying to the US on December 24th and will be spending Christmas in Roseburg! Yey!

It has been a wild ride for us being in Manila. But God is just too much! He is not enough but more than enough! He is too much! Whatever the circumstances may be.. He is in control.

There is always more.. As Christians we live by faith and that is we must believe so that we will see. This is a word for next year - "Anything can happen in 2007!"

SM Mall of Asia

Matt and I went to SM Mall of Asia. We figured since we are already in Manila, we wanted to check it out. It has an ice skating rink which is really cool and an IMAX Theater that only costs about 4-6 dollars. Whoohoo! The mall has a loooot of stores and goodies that are not found in Davao so it's really nice to try different things and see different stuff. One thing for sure though - the prices are cheaper in Davao and people are more friendly there! Sigh I miss Davao. Anyway, I'll be in the states soon and am very very excited! I'll be seeing Davao again - in the appointed time!

Immigrant Visa Approved!

Yey! I had my interview this morning and they approved me! Praise God! I was done by 9am. There were about 400 applicants earlier. It was all so fast and quick for me as some people spend a day there. God is so good! I had favor even for the initial interview where I was interviewed by a Filipino. I had all my requirements right and I praise God for the wisdom to do everything!

And the best thing was that instead of having the visa delivered to me at an address here in Manila, they proposed to have me pick up the visa instead! They don't usually do that. So instead of me waiting for 7 days to 2 weeks (that's what some approved immgrant visa holders told me the time they had to wait), the Immigrant Visa Unit of US Embassy will give me a call when the visa is ready which is tomorrow or thursday! Whew! God is so good! He blows me away all the time! I love it when the Lord does that. He does care.

So for all my family and friends in the US - here we come! We will be able to spend Christmas with Mom and Dad Coil after all! God is so good! I can't keep my mouth shut! This is another testimony entry!

For all of you who have been praying for us, thank you so much! Matt and I are looking forward to having a white Christmas! It will be my first time! Yey!

Dumaguete..

Matt and I went to visit my dad and my relatives in Dumaguete from the 14th til the 18th. We had fun! I was able to see my dad, my siblings, my uncle (who was our chef during our visit. yumyum!), my aunt (my dad's sister) and my cousins! Oh it was a nice visit.

Us with my sister Corai and my petite and beautiful grandma! She is 82 years old and still runs a small store. She's also the treasurer of the senior citizens' group in their place. Wow. I found out that there is no such thing as retirement in my family. Hahaha.

No that's not a fairy. It's my sister Corai in her street dancing costume. They had street dancing in Dumaguete. She was one of the four main dancers in front. I guess she takes after her sister (me!). It was fun watching her. She looks so cute. They grow up so fast! Hahaha. Matt and I enjoyed the different groups that performed that night. She had to be lifted up on a bamboo! See the pictures below and enjoy..

Medical Exam

Hi everyone! We're in Manila right now. I just had my medical exam at St. Luke's Extension Clinic. It went really smooth. Matt and I were there around 5am (yes 5am) and I got #19 as my priority number. Yes, there were 18 applicants who were earlier than me plus the people with them.

It was a very nice clinic. More than what I expected it to be. It has aircon (really strong!) and an active staff. I think they have 6 floors plus parking. And they are devoted to conducting medical exams for immigrant and nonimmigrant applicants for US (which has the most number), Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Usually it takes a whole day (if you arrive late) or even more than that to accomplish the medical exam especially if you haven't had the required vaccinations yet. I was done around 10am and didn't have to have any vaccinations because I already did mine months before and I took my vaccination records with me. Praise God. I just need to come back tomorrow to get my results.

I had to do an x-ray, blood and urine test, vital signs, eye test, immunization interview and physical exam where you "unrobe" everything because the doctor will check everything. I had a female doctor so no worries plus when I had my surgery done for my right breast I had a male surgeon, a male anesthesiologist and male nurses. I was on anesthesia so I didn't remember anything from the operation.

It's so cool also as I went to wait for the physical exam part, I got priority #5 and assigned to room #7! That's just an FYI for those who know that 5 & 7 are significant numbers for us. The number 5 means "grace" and number 7 is God's number. God is with us and His grace is sufficient for us! Amen.

My interview is on the 19th so please keep us in your prayers. Also we will be visiting my dad and my family in Dumaguete on the 14th. We will be back in Manila on the 18th for my interview.

Here are some pictures from the going away party that our friends and family in Davao did for us. It's funny coz the one who organized it (Sandra) was our wedding planner too! It was an awesome day as they did a program for us and showed a slideshow of our (Matt's and mine's too) pictures from year 2001 up until 2006! It was a fun night as friends cried and gave words of encouragement. We will surely miss our family in Davao! But it is never goodbye.. just "kitakits!" (which means "see ya later" in Cebuano)

Praise God for He is worthy to be praised!

So here is the scoop. Two Wednesdays ago we took Lindsay in to have her breast examined. The Doctor examined the right side and found a lump and said it had to be removed. So the next day on Thursday she had Surgery to have it removed (it was a little bigger than a golf ball) and it went very well although the expenses for the surgery was a very large unexpected amount for us that we did not have at that time. We also had the lump checked which takes a week to see if it was cancerous or not. On top of that the Surgeon told us that he had checked the left breast and had found another one that needed to be removed. Wow that was a one two three for us.

It was hard seeing Lindsay go through that surgery let alone to have another one done. The Doctor told us to come back on Monday to schedule the second surgery. So we did and we scheduled it for Tuesday afternoon. Monday and Tuesday I had been fasting and praying for her healing and God had dropped a word in my heart that she was healed. I was very excited so I told her and then I checked her left breast but still felt something but we believed any way.

Tuesday afternoon we went to the hospital to check into the ER to prepare her for the surgery which is the procedure but we were so persistent to have her checked one more time before she goes in because we knew God had healed her. So after a while and a lot of funny looks from hospital staff we were able to have the Doctor check her breast for the lump one more time... As he was checking her he was giving puzzled looks then he used two hands to check her but WALA! (in their language means NOTHING!) He could not find any thing! We had a big smile on our faces and some squeaks came out of Lindsay not just for the fact that it was gone but that also she did not have to go through surgery again. PRAISE GOD! THAT IS OUR GOD!

The doctor said to come back Friday after noon so he could do a final check to make sure and give us the report from the biopsy on the other lump that was taken out. So on Friday we had Lindsay checked again and... WALA again! He could not find anything and the lump that was taken out from her right breast was just a Benign tumor and was not Cancerous! Praise God again and again! On top of that our home church took an offering to help with the expenses of the surgery and extra to help with all the other many miscellaneous amounts. Praise God again and again and again!

The White Castle

This is the Davao Base (Philippines). This is where all the action is! We have Spirit Life Bible College during the week, North Life Youth Ministry during Saturdays (saturday programs) and Embassy Christian Center (church) & Kids on the Go Children's Ministry on Sundays.

It is an all-purpose facility as it is also the home of the staff. And we always refer to it as the castle coz as you can see it really does look like one. When you go up to the third floor and up to the tower, you can see a view of Mount Apo, the Davao Bay, and a part of the city. This is also where Matt and I had our formal wedding ceremony.

Surgery

Hi everybody!

I just had surgery last November 23rd here in Davao (Yes I spent my Thanksgiving in the hospital). I had developed a mass/lump on my right breast. It was like the size of a golf ball or a little bigger so it was big! I had it taken out and also the small cyst I had on my upper right chest near my neck.

I am resting right now. The stitches were painful on the first day after the anesthesia wore off so I had to express myself in different ways. Matt said I am a drama queen! Hahaha. That's the funny side of me.

It's just funny how last sunday I was asked to preach in the church service here and I preached on Job. My message was actually titled "Consider Job." Sandra said it was a really NOW Word for the church and the ministry as a whole. People told me how they were really blessed and how it was for them. Well, it was for me too! Hahaha.

I started off with this scripture.. "That which is had already been, and what is to be has already been; and God requires an account of what is past..." Eccl. 3:15. Whatever God's going to do for you, He has already done it. Our part is to agree with what the Word of God says about us and what His promises are for us. Through what? By calling things out as though they were.. and that is faith. Faith is agreeing with God and what His Word says.

The test often comes just before we are released into a "double portion." The double portion that Job received after his test was already prepared by God. God wanted Job to know and see for himself if he has the character and integrity to handle what He had prepared for him. Remember in Eccl. 3:15 - Whatever God's going to do for you, He has already done it.

The test doesn't come with a loud public announcement that says, "This is a test, this is only a test!" A true test examines what we are under stress and in real life conditions. It appears in our lives without forewarning that a test is coming.

God is not just looking at how well we can outwardly "look Christian," He is examining the quality of what we actually are. And even more important than just possessing the "right answers," He desires that we possess the right attitudes and responses.

For us who are followers of Christ and whose ultimate goal is to be conformed to His image, God gives us the answer to every test we experience - become like Jesus Christ.. It says in Romans 8:28 - 29... "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren..." God doesn't call you without a purpose. He does have a great plan for you and I.

Your test might just be a door to your abundance... so do not let the devil steal your joy and your peace that will keep you from entering your place of abundance!

Psalm 66:10 - 12 "For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance. Amen!

God is good. It was a NOW Word for me. It is helping me right now. Coz I know that God doesn't want me to just have the "right answers" to people who go to me for counsel or for those who hear me preach but He desires that I possess the "right attitude and responses" to my circumstances. Like actually living out what you preach. Being the rhema (living) word as much as Christ is the living Word.

The doctor found another mass that is hidden on my left breast. And we will have to have it taken off also. God is good. I trust that my life is in His hands and that He is in control. Although the enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy me.. Jesus came to give me life and life more abundantly. Not only life but life more abundantly! Praise God! When God restores, He restores way more than what the enemy intended to destroy. He is a good God and I know that He loves me and He cares for me.

I could spend my time complaining on what could've been but I will continue to praise God because I don't have a spouse like Job had who would tell me to curse God and die. No, I am very thankful to God for Matt who would stand with me and tell me to confess the Word and continue to stand on the Word. I have a lot to be thankful to God for.

WHO AM I?

"Who am I?" - That is the question most people ask themselves. But my question is - "How do you see yourself?" In answer to that, I usually go the story of the son of King Louis...

King Louis had been taken away from his throne and put into prison. The people who had dethroned the king took his son, the young prince. They thought that since the prince was heir to the throne, if they could destroy him morally, then he would not realize the great destiny that life had given him. They took him to a community far away, and there they exposed the boy to every filthy and bad thing that life had to offer. They exposed him to very rich foods, so that he would become a slave to his appetite. They used bad language and cursed around him constantly. They exposed him to lusting womean. They exposed him to dishonor and distrust. He was surrounded 24 hours a day to everything that could drag the soul of a man as low as it can go. For over six months he had this treatment - but not once did the young boy buckle under pressure. Finally, after all the intense temptation, they asked him why he had not given in to these things - why had he not taken part in any of the evil activities? All of the things they offered him would have provided him pleasure, and they were desirable. The boy said, "I cannot do what you ask, for I was born to be a king."

Notice his remarkable response to the cirsumstances and the pressures around him. When you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, you have become a son or a daughter of the Most High God, The King of kings and the Lord of lords. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Sin has NO POWER over you UNLESS you give in. Just like the son of King Louis YOU AND I HAVE A CHOICE. You do not have to give in to sin. Just like the young prince even if you are faced with temptations, circumstances and situations like he did - YOU HAVE A CHOICE.. WHAT WILL IT BE? Lindsay Coil

Invading Ma-a Jail for Jesus!

Last October, the staff and students of Spirit Life Bible College went to Ma-a Jail. We go there regularly as a ministry to preach in a church inside the jail. There are about 1000 plus prisoners.

This time we did a three-hour service for the church inside and all the inmates that were around us. I led praise and worship. The students participated by doing dramas and testimonies. Matt and two other staff members (Sandra and Keith) gave messages in between. It was a powerful time as the prisoners there were blessed and encouraged! Everybody had a wonderful time in the Lord! It was so awesome to see everybody praising and worshipping God!

Got my Appointment!

Hi everybody! I finally got my immigrant visa interview schedule! God is so good! We filed the petition in May 2006 and it got approved in only 2 months after in July. It is definitely the favor of God since in most cases couples have to wait 12-24 months! Then I got the appointment letter last Oct 24th which is only 3 months upon approval of the petition and 5 months since the filing of the petition. I am scheduled to be interviewed on December 19th (see photo) which is only 5 months after the approval of the petition! All in all - the process was only in a span of 7 months! Praise God! It's interesting to note the number 5 and 7. The number 5 has been a significant number for me and Matt (as noted also by Mom Midge).. Our first date was on Sept 5th, we had our formal wedding ceremony on the 5th day of the 5th month (May) of 2006 and my birthday is on the 5th of April! The number 5 means Grace. God's grace is really sufficient for us and His grace is abounding in every good work! The number 7.. I believe that God is glorified because He did everything in His time. To all of you who have been supporting us, believing and praying for us - THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are all a part of this season of rejoicing..

My dive day!.. Yey! I had said in the past that I was not interested in sea diving (although I am interested in skydiving!) but hey, I did it! Hahaha. It was fun though. It was a change from the countless times that I had done island hopping and snorkeling. Yup.. it was definitely worth it! I saw nemo or better yet, I held him in my hand! I don't have the pic to prove it but it was awesome! I felt like I was watching the movie. The place they live in is the same as in the movie.. it was cool! It is another world down there. God is so amazing...
